Welcome to the Museum's May newsletter! |
Dear Readers,
After a flourishing month of April for the art world due to the ardent opening of the Venice Biennale, we are pleased to welcome you to our newsletter for the month of May, where we present a special program for the week of the Museums where we highlight the activities, events, conferences, workshops, performances and guided tours in addition to the open days with free admission offered by the museum on the occasion of International Museum Day on May 18. We pay tribute more than ever to the work of this space in which we trust is a tool for knowledge, culture and evolution. In times of change museums are a reminder of the importance of creativity, history and dialogue.
We are especially delighted, after many months of work, to present to you the Call for Artistic Residencies at the Gabarron Museum Sculpture Park in Wesenberg (Germany), which is open for proposals and applications until June 10th. Finally, following our exhibition program, we announce, after the success of the exhibition 'The Spirit of Dreams' by the French artist and thinker Frédéric Ballester, the extension of the Exhibition until July 21, and we continue with our section of the #ConnectedMuseum with the LIASONS section, moving once again to the city of Hong Kong.

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM / Creativity in Museums |
This month we present at the Tianjin Museum (Tianjin, China), in the international symposium "China-Europe-America Museum Cooperation Initiative", our progress in art education and creativity.
Juan Manuel Gabarron, Director of the Gabarron Foundation Asia will present the evolution in recent decades of the Gabarron Method for the development of creativity through art.
Why is it of great importance today? The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Survey 2023 highlights the growing importance of creative thinking in the future job market, surpassing even analytical thinking and technological literacy. Despite this, mainstream education systems continue to focus on convergent thinking, neglecting the imaginative potential of children, which is supported by research such as the NASA study showing an alarming decline in creativity as children grow up.
