TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE |
| On 20 November each year since 1999, Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is commemorated worldwide to pay tribute to transgender individuals whose lives we have lost to violence, discrimination and prejudice. This important day in history was created after the murder of Rita Hester - a Black trans woman from Massachusetts - sparked an international movement that continues today with candlelight vigils and other services offered globally as acts of remembrance. TDOR particularly highlights how Latina and Black transgender women are disproportionately at risk of hate crimes across the world. Brought into focus by U.S. President Biden’s official statement for national recognition in 2021; TDOR stands proudly as a reminder that compassion must become actionable to bring about positive change. |

FIRST LGBTQ+ BRAZILIAN RIVER CRUISE IN THE PANTANAL OF MATO GROSSO DO SUL |
| This adventure commenced in the city of Corumbá, a historic destination located within a two-hour flight from Campinas via Azul Airlines. Two esteemed members of IGLTA, LR Travel Experience and Icterus Ecoturismo, collaborated with local partners including Azul Airlines, Mato Grosso do Sul Tourism Foundation, and Miguéis Turismo, the proprietor of an incoming agency and the Akaia boat.The program entailed a three-night stay on board, full-board service, beverages, and comprehensive tours conducted on a speedboat, commonly utilized for fishing and renowned for its comfort. The experience offered plenty encounters with diverse bird and animal species, as well as opportunities for diving in crystal-clear waters.
