One of the village’s most popular annual events is returning at the end of October. It’s the Halloween Trick-Or-Treat and Movie Night, with spooky activities for the entire family.Parks and Recreation director Fanny Carmona said she is looking forward to the event and commented on its popularity.
“We will have our event on Saturday the 28th at Coral Reef Park from 6 to 9 p.m.,” Carmona said. “Turnout is usually around 800 to 1,000 people.”

The Orange Bowl has launched its annual Creative Art Contest. The initiative grants all K-12 students in Miami-Dade and Broward counties the opportunity to win a variety of prizes by submitting artwork, including tickets to the Capital One Orange Bowl.The theme this year is “Courage Creates Champions.” Students are encouraged to submit artwork that includes visual representations of South Florida, college football, the contest theme, and Obie (Orange Bowl’s official mascot).Orange Bowl staff, along with Obie, will make several visits to K-12 schools all around the South Florida area.
