CELEBRATING PRIDE 365 DAYS A YEAR
IGLTA stands proudly with the LGBTQ+ community for this year’s Pride celebrations, a powerful time for both joyful expression and reflection on the movement’s history. Pride traces back to Christopher Street Liberation Day on 28 June 1970, marking the first anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and sparking a global revolution for equality. Since then, parades and festivals have honored every individual’s right to express their true selves, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Beyond celebration, Pride serves as a vital act of resistance, providing a united front against discrimination while amplifying the voices of the diverse LGBTQ+ community.

For nature lovers, the LOVE IGUASSU Festival brings music and magic to one of the planet’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Finally, don’t miss Festa da Lili, Brazil’s biggest LGBTQ+ festival in Brasília, drawing over 20,000 attendees and transforming the capital into a hotspot of joy and celebration every August.

IGLTA INTERVIEWS BRADLEY RICHES, A CONTIKI TRAVELER
”The world is full of more kindness and openness than I used to believe.” How queer travel has evolved for actor Bradley Riches (he/him), a Contiki traveler. Beyond acting in Netflix’s beautiful Hearstopper and openly discussing neurodivergence in his book, Bradley Riches is an avid traveler and a proud member of both the LGBTQ+ and Autistic communities. Having traveled on Contiki trips to Italy and Vietnam (as well as a few holidays of his own) Bradley now awaits his first Contiki Pride trip, joining fellow LGBTQ+ travelers and allies to explore Greece. We sat down with Bradley to discuss the evolution of queer travel and the aspects of it that he finds particularly empowering.
