In perfect alignment with FIU’s strategic plan, which emphasizes entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, the Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator was established at the Biscayne Bay Campus. Made possible by the generosity of the Philip E. and Carole R. Ukrainian refugee starts new life in Miami and launches Artistic Voices
|
On February 24, 2022, the day Ukraine was invaded by Russia, Dnipro resident Tania Gold arrived in Miami, completely unaware of what had just transpired in her homeland. “I had a return ticket for March 1st, but that quickly became irrelevant,” says Tania. “A dear friend initially hosted me, but it became clear that staying there long-term wouldn’t be possible. Left with only $500, a carry-on bag, blocked bank accounts and no job, I found myself stranded.” Thus began an ordeal that only someone as resourceful and energetic as she could navigate successfully, but Tania did just that. She found housing through a non-profit that provides help to Ukrainians. The organization paired her with Miamians Peter and Keren Rabbino, with whom she has formed a strong friendship. “Peter and Keren are like my second family... Read More

The $54,000 2024 Palisade Calligraphy AWD stands as a testament to this philosophy, offering an impressive blend of luxury, technology, and practicality that has luxury brands looking over their shoulders. Pull up to the valet in the Palisade Calligraphy, and you will make an entrance. The imposing cascading grille and vertical LED lighting elements create a distinctive face that commands attention. While some may find the front fascia polarizing, there is no denying its presence. The 20-inch alloy wheels and tasteful satin chrome accents complete a package that looks right at home among more expensive.... Read More
