Zoo Miami’s 60th baby giraffe makes public debut for holidays |
The 13-year-old mother’s name is Sabra, and this is her eighth calf. The father is 6-year-old Malcolm, and this also is his eighth calf. At birth, the calf stood a bit over 5 feet tall and weighed just over 120 pounds which actually is a bit on the smaller side for newborn giraffe. Initial results from her neonatal exam indicate that she is strong and healthy. As she accompanied her mother onto the habitat for the first time, the entire herd came over to welcome her. Each giraffe took turns approaching the calf, then smelling her and occasionally licking her. The calf seems to be unfazed by all the attention and has spent the past few days exploring her new habitat where she can now be seen daily... Read More

The 2024 Nissan Z NISMOoffers thrilling performance
| With a 4.5-ft. bed, 10 available tie-downs, an in-bed outlet and a multi-position tailgate, the “flexbed” storage system is designed to adapt. You can transform the tailgate into a sturdy work surface or a party. When the tailgate is half-closed, it lines up perfectly with the wheel wells. You can tie down items flat between them, making it possible to haul longer materials like drywall. Ford also gives you the option of a manual locking tailgate or the power-locking version. I like the details in the bed including the LED box lighting, which comes standard on the Lariat and available on the XLT trim. With two 12 volt pre-wired connections and available 400-watt 110 volt outlets, you can power additional LED lights, a mini-fridge and even a small TV.. . Read More | |
