In fact, Canada shares first place (with Sweden) in the Spartacus Gay Travel Index. The World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) and IGLTA also released the second edition of the UNWTO Global Report on LGBT Tourism and it was noted that 86% of Canadian, millennial-aged respondents believe homosexuality should be accepted. Canada was also one of the first countries to officially legalize same-sex marriage nationwide back in 2005, a decade before the United States.
