trouble in view?   view in browser   India Stressed Asset Opportunities July 2020       GoI- Helping companies tide through COVID The Government of India has announced multiple reforms to support stressed companies in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2020, an Ordinance was issued to suspend the initiation of insolvency proceedings for 6 months to shield companies impacted by the COVID lockdown. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) also announced relaxations in pricing methodology for preferential issues of companies having stressed assets. These eased norms exempt allottees from open offer obligations.
