Dispatch from the Future
July 2019 / Ian MacKenzie
 Dear <<Test First Name>>,
Today is big day! Today my film Amplify Her is finally released online.
In the world of documentary filmmaking, I've come to understand that each project is like a pilgrimage. The average time to complete a feature (over 80 mins) is 4-5 years, add to that a year of touring and you can understand how necessary it is to keep the flame of commitment and passion alive for the long haul.
Amplify Her has been no exception.

I initially conceived of the idea back in 2012, upon experiencing a DJ set from an artist AppleCat in the final days of Burning Man. And it was another 2 years before I joined forces with my co-director Nicole Sorochan and we secured the financing to begin production.
Two years after that when the film was in its final stages of editing, our broadcaster went bankrupt (though no fault of our own) and threw our ability to complete the film into serious jeopardy. Thankfully, we were able to find a way - and the result has been an epic feature film, a motion comics series, a graphic novel and a soundtrack - all chronicling the rise of the feminine - in the electronic music scene and beyond.
And today, after screening in communities and festivals around the world, our wide release begins. The film is now available on Amazon in the US, Canada, and Australia, with more platforms and countries rolling out in the future.

Your support now is vital to spread the word and propel this project to a global audience. Here's the direct links:
